This is a commission that didn't go ahead but the publisher sent me this mock up that they took to Frankfurt bookfair. It's a real shame the project didn't go any further as it would've been really nice to do.
Wow! did you work out all the folds and pop ups, or did the designer do that? I was commissioned to do a greeting card with pop up inside a few years ago, I worked it all out and did the illustration, they just published it as a flat image in the end, said it was too expensive to make. Penny.

The paper engineer worked it all out for me and gave me a layout to follow so that it would all work. I couldn't have done it on my own!
This looks fabulous. What a pity it didn't work out.
I'd love to do a pop up book.
