Supersampler

These are some photos I had developed recently taken with my Lomo Supersampler camera. It has four lenses which each capture the image but there is a time delay between each shot. It's a very small delay- I think it's half a second- but it gives you time to move the camera in whatever way you like (if you want) to create interesting images. It also has no viewfinder so you just point and shoot. The Supersampler takes 35mm film and you need to use it in bright, sunny weather for the best results (though actually I think the sunset photo at the top works well). I like the darkness round the edges of the photos which is typical of Lomo shots.
After a few years of getting used to digital cameras, it was really exciting getting these photos back and not knowing what they would look like. I miss that element of surprise which you don't get with digital cameras. I think the only problem is that less and less people go to get 3
5mm film developed now and prices are already starting to increase.

I am curious, what is the middle one? I like it, looks like carrots and veg against the sky, but maybe my eyes are just getting old!

Hello Penny,
The middle one is a bouncy castle, think it's one of the turrets. Ha ha, not a carrot! :-)

Actually, looking again it's a bunch of those helium filled ballons. Oops!

That sounds like a fun camera... I know what you mean about the element of suprise whe you get photos developed... definately not the same with digital.

Wow! These are fantastic. I love the bouncy castle/balloons/vegetables one too. The colours and the contrast are amazing in those.

I love the colours in those photos, they look like old photos from the seventies.

I'm glad you liked my mice!
